Lanyard blog
Custom lanyards, ID straps, and badge reels — practical field notes from material choice to ordering and lead time.
Our first post is on the way.
In the meantime, take a look at our production guides or request a quote directly.
What the Lanyard Studio blog covers
This is where we publish practical field notes on custom lanyards, ID card straps, and badge reels — the same questions we answer for buyers every week, written up so you can plan an order with confidence. Full English articles are on the way; in the meantime, the topics below are already covered in depth in our production guides, and the notes here will help you scope your first order.
Materials and print quality
How nylon, polyester, cotton, satin, and recycled PET compare on comfort, durability, and colour reproduction; when dye-sublimation, silk-screen, or woven printing gives the best result; and how to prepare artwork files so logos and gradients come out sharp. Polyester remains the value standard for vivid full-colour work, while nylon is the usual choice when a premium feel and long life matter more than price.
Ordering, hardware, and specifications
Choosing attachment hardware — J-hooks, bulldog clips, oval clasps, and buckles — plus the right length and width for name badges, staff ID, and event passes. We also cover safety breakaways for gate access and industrial settings, and retractable reel-holder types for cards that are tapped or swiped many times a day. A standard neck lanyard is about 90 cm doubled, and common widths run from 10 to 25 mm.
Lead time, bulk pricing, and re-orders
What drives the two-to-three-week production window, how unit price scales as quantity rises, and how to manage repeat orders so branding stays consistent across departments and events. Every project starts with a free digital mockup before production begins, and a physical sample can be produced in about one to two weeks when you want to check colour and hardware in hand first.
Before your first order
Do you ship custom lanyards internationally?
Yes. We design and manufacture custom lanyards, ID card holders, and badge reels for organizations worldwide, and we can advise on lead time to your destination when you request a quote.
Where can I read detailed guides right now?
Our production guides already cover a five-material comparison, a seven-point pre-order checklist, and an employee ID lanyard buyer’s guide in depth — start there while English blog posts are in preparation.
How do I get a price?
Request a free quote with your quantity, material, and artwork, and we will send back a price band and lead time, along with a free digital mockup before anything goes into production.
