Woven lanyards

The text or logo is woven into the strap rather than printed on it, so the mark does not wear off with daily use. Best for simple logos and short text.

Overview

On a woven lanyard the design is woven into the fabric with coloured thread, not printed on top of it. Because the mark is part of the weave, it cannot scratch or rub off — which makes woven lanyards the right choice when the same strap will be worn every day for months or years, such as permanent staff credentials. The trade-off is detail: weaving reproduces text and simple shapes crisply but cannot hold gradients or photographic artwork, so it suits clean logos and short wording rather than complex graphics.

Frequently asked questions

When is a woven lanyard better than a printed one?
Choose woven when the strap will be worn daily over a long period and the design is a simple logo or short text — the woven mark will not wear off. Choose printed when you need full-colour, gradients, or fine detail. If your artwork is detailed but you also want durability, tell us in the quote request and we will advise.
How many colours can you weave into the strap?
Weaving works best with a small number of solid colours. It reproduces text and simple logos cleanly but cannot hold gradients or photographic detail. Send your logo with the quote request and we will confirm whether it woves well or whether printing suits it better.
